"Yeah, see you later, man!" Reno sputtered.
He never thought he'd agree to let the Turks walk him home, but he was really, really fuckin' drunk. He hadn't been that drunk since the Sister Ray, and as consciousness slipped away from him, he decided that he was just a little bit more drunk today.
When he came to, he was surrounded by the familiar, dark space that he had recognized as his prison, but as things came into sharper focus, there seemed to be much more Lifestream in it than usual. It started flowing past and over him, fresh and effervescent, completely engulfing his field of view until everything was white.
He felt some kind of presence in the space he was in, but he couldn't quite tell who, though. "H-hello?"

There was unfinished business.
"'Long time, no see, Professor.' Isn't that how you greeted me last time we met? ...or have you forgotten me--pushed me from your mind altogether?"
He wanted to be angry. A part of him was, certainly. Yet he couldn't define his relationship with the man before him on one single incident, no matter how major. There had been a long history there, and it played out quietly in the back of his mind like an old film.
"...I've been waiting for you. I've...wanted to see you. To see how you're doing. To see what you've become."
